Anyone save the text and pictures? It's a big loss if the website that spured so many on to tackle the axle job on their own is gone.

If we can't find the stuff to post here, does anyone know how to get in touch with him?

I think it died in a server crash. Someone out there may have saved it, but I kinda doubt it..

Couldn't it be retreived via an archive or some jazz? I'm obviously operating on a fuzzy recollection of facts, so can someone fill in the cracks here? What am I trying to suggest?

go to www.archive.org and type in the url if you know it. If it was up for any amount of time, they should have it archived. Good luck.
