Hey guys,
So I've replaced the starter last week - big difference having a starter that fully engages the flywheel, a pleasure to start.
But since then - have had a few new issues come up - coincidence or causality I'm not sure!
1. The key doesnt engage the starter half the time - but the battery was at like 10v and barely turning the starter, so not sure if low voltage is causing the solenoid to not engage maybe - or that's another rabit hole...
2. I cant start when hot, on LPG (petrol is fine) I think I need to get the gas system tuned - but it worked fine before replacing the starter. Removing the air filter pipe from the top of the carb allows it start when hot, and then putting it back on while its running - no problem. Am I flooding the carb with LPG?
3. Last night driving home, all of a sudden RPM redlined. I downshifted and got it down to 1k at a light, and then was able limp home. But this morning - the gas pedal is really unresponsive, and manually turning the throttle at the carb is really "sticky" I tensioned the return spring a bit tighter - and no improvement - so thinking its a vacuum problem? Or really gunked up carby? (I run on LPG 90% of the time) If I open it up all the way and let go, it takes maybe 6 seconds to close fully - not a snappy action at all.
So now I need to fix throttle issue, so I can get the gas mixing tuned - but wondering if they may be one and the same issue - anyone with more insight on these systems able to offer any ideas? Or things to investigate?
