This truck is a FJ 40 put on a 80
 
Don't know if that would help you, but over in Australia a guy named Roothy is well known for his chopped Troopy. I suppose u have heard about him anyway now that I see you are from Victoria. ;)

As far as I know the frame etc is stock and he mainly chopped the body.
 
I'm planning on stretching a '72 USDM 40 to 43 length. It's down for the count fighting the rust demons off, so I figured I may as well go crazy. Nonetheless, there are far more 40's than 45/47 troopies out there, it may be cheaper to add than to subtract.
 
If I'm not mistaken, this is a TLC BJ43. As I've heard about it, it is very rare to find.
But here in Brazil, they are very common. Only they are not know as Toyota Land Cruiser but Toyota Bandeirante.

The photo in the first picture is in NO WAY a BJ43.
 
I'm working on a stretched 40. Wheelbase will be a minimum 117" (might flip the rear springs to give me better departure angles and a little mor wheelbase). Take a look at my build thread in my sig.
