molasses to remove rust ???

[My wife said no FJ!]

Not wanting to go out of my way for these tests, I simply purchased whatever molasses they had at the grocery store. You can see an empty container in the second picture of the first post.

Thanks. Even at the local store they had diffrent types I ended up finding Crosby's Family Cooking Molasses with seems to be abit stronger then normal molasses and has "sulphites" I bought 3 coke can size cartons which should be way more then what i need ..Will post some pics down the road Thanks again

Make sure you stir it every couple of days.

Well it's been awhile since my last post ( was buzy ) The results were so/so I had it outside in the heat stir the contents once a day for 3 weeks It did soften the layers of rust ( flakes ) which chipped off with a wire brush and a head of a screwdriver .. might have to with a light sandblast come spring I'm sure if i shop around for a place it get it cheap ..some high schools have a blast bay in shop class and charge real cheap
