Scenic beach in Padre Island Seashore. CB radio mount and interior front seat area. Battery and electrical. Wheels and caps, painted caps with chrome sombrero. Fridge and CO2 tank cargo.

The paint on the wheels has held up pretty well for a spray can paint. It has been over two years without retouching. Have had some discoloring splotches that are not noticeable. The caps are the touch, repainted originals. I have seen a few pics on MUD and google that are the same.

Really liking the build! Very clean and intentional. I'm curious why you say if you were to do it over you would skip the front bumper?

I'm curious to hear more about the sliders you made, particularly the lack of welding. How did you go about making them and bending the brackets? Are they as strong as traditional sliders? (aka. could take the whole weight of the vehicle)
 
Very nice 100! How did you mount the rotopaks up there? Was thinking of making a basket and using the spare tire winch for scepter cans but yours looks super clean

Squatch43, I took off the spare tire cross member and unbolted the tire crank and took off the metal shields. Drilled a few holes to mount the bracket and thats it. it was easy but you should wear eye protection and wash all the mud out from under it. I like your basket idea too because the only way to get the cans down is by crawling on the ground.
 
Great looking rig! Just recently purchased my first 100 (it's all white just like yours) and am currently photo-docing everything and baselining maintenance. What size lift do you have on there? Only saw "medium" in your opening description...

The lift is Old Man Emu torsion bars in the front providing about 2 inches of lift and Old Man Emu 860 springs in the rear. still has a little rake front to back. Ride height in the front is about 20 3/4" from fender to center of wheel. Not sure ride height in the rear.

Thanks for the questions @ReallyACruiser. I like the protection of a front bumper but its mostly weight on the front end. the original plastic bumper cover is flexible with enough approach angle for wheeling.

Sliders are easy to make. one main rectangular tube and some square tube (round would work too) for legs to the frame. weld a gusset on the legs for strength and some U-bolts for attachment (could also be welded to frame). No doubt it would hold the weight of the truck. I have tested them out a few times. Materials: 2 long pieces of heavy wall (3/16") 2x6 rectangular tube and some heavy wall 2x2 tube with some 1/4" plate for gussets and mounting.
 
Moby is back with drawers! Recently finished a set of KISS drawers and they are fantastic. Pulled the trigger on these after my tundra was outfitted with the Decked drawers in the bed and really liked it for work. The KISS system is simple and because it is wood there are many ways to finish it. I chose carpet and stained fronts. Contact @cruzerDave for details. :cheers:

cruzerDave, I took my time with the finish out on the fronts. I spent about an hour or two each day sanding, staining, clear coating, fitting, covering, gluing, double checking for about 5 days. Important not to rush the stain in drying process. 3 coats of stain and one of satin clear coat. each coat takes 24 hours to dry in my area (maybe more). I sanded the drawer fronts with fine grit and got them real smooth. I beveled the edge of the deck at the tailgate sanding it down just enough to stick the carpet with a couple of cans spray adhesive. What you don't see is inside the drawers some harbor freight foam mat in the bottom of each drawer which has worked out for me better than carpet.

Replaced the valve cover gasket yesterday. It was a two 🍺 job. The smell of hot motor oil on the headers was nasty and the oil pressure at idle keeps getting lower. After removing the valve cover the original gasket was in tack and not bad at all. Just a little harder than the new one. I could have tightened the bolts and maybe never replaced it but I had the part in hand so I did in anyway.

Thanks to a friend who told me about the look alike Intensity lights. These are Prime Lux LED lights and I am impressed with the light output and focus for $100 a piece. I also ordered replacement amber lenses for the Squadron pro's in the bumper. I use the amber color more and like it better than the clear lens.

The switches I added to run the lights required a little more attention. Using a switch block I had in my garage and wanted no issues in the connections as you an see by the photo below.

Every time I get to drive this land cruiser is such a joy. Comfort is great and can take me anywhere I want to go and some I don’t. Haha. Land Cruiser 100 for life!

After 3 months of wait time for a custom built 2.5 inch Icon shock with internal reservoir for the rear axle it’s dialed in. The “sway” or lateral stability is great and just what I wanted.

Had the factory tint removed and had a guy back in the hometown do ceramic tint on all the glass. Legal of course and it’s already cooler inside. Getting ready for a hot Texas summer.

Honestly I just dropped the truck off to the guy and told him to take off whatever tint was there and use ceramic. I am was not picky here, just didn’t want to get a sunburn sitting a a red light. LOL

Not being a professional window guy, I saw the difference in the types of tint and colors that are available and it was a bit overwhelming. I know the person to instal the tint has quality products and would do a good job so I went with it. I think it turned out great although it might be a little too dark on the front side windows for my taste. But still happy.

Looking at this older photo with a good profile of the land cruiser with the original tint. You can see the back window has a kind of silver mirror or reflective property. That silvery look is still there but is now black behind and darker. That is something in the glass itself. The front side windows if they were bronze they aren’t anymore because that tint was replaced.

Really interested in the two gas cans in the spare. So I would need to drill the crossbar for the mounting?
