Mobil

I wouldn't describe Mobil Drive Clean as a "step-down" from M1 - just a different formulation (maybe better for the older LC's???) that makes sense for a few reasons. I'm an original owner of my "so-clean-you-could-eat -a-steak-off-the-floorboard" '96 80 w/ 125k on the motor ...and recently switched to Mobil Drive Clean HM 10W30(sold @ Wally World). My motor runs smoother than many new cars I've ridden in and uses no oil. Honestly, like many of you, I've been considering full synth v dino/mineral oil for some time. After receiving my latest AAA "Going Places" magazine( :bounce: it's here! it's here!) and reading a short article on the benefits/conclusive studies of high-mileage formulations, I am convinced that this is the right oil for my rig - at least for now. I also use the Toyota 20004 or NAPA(full 8 qts) 1515 oil filters. I think M1 and other full-synths can be an excellent (safe)choice for some motors - and I may take that next step down the road - your results may vary.
