Looking to do a Moab (light to moderate easy wheeling) trip this fall.

Probably take some of the family, likely my boys (15 and 11).

Looking at a LONG weekend. Maybe start driving Thursday after work, and get home LATE on Monday/Tuesday. Looking for a wheeling trip, not a hike/bike detour trip. I want to knock out some trails (2-3/day).

I'd like to run a few classics:
  • Fins n Things
  • Chicken Corners
  • Dome Plateau
  • White Rim or similar
  • Easy trails like this. Obviously the group can split up.
Looking at doing some rustic camping around Moab but not paying for a site.... think "overland" glamping.

Looking at late september early october.

Anyone have interest in joining?

defiantly maybe, might be fun to take a stock rental down for easy stuff but that's a tricky time of the year for me in between deadlines.

If you can do this you will love it. I think i might go down to that part of the world this fall but will probably focus more on San Rafel Swells since there is a probability it will get shut down in some places. Also I will probably do more riding moto than wheeling.

I did White rim twice and loved it. So much great scenery there. Did it once in my 80 and we spent the night down there. Another time on moto where we cranked it all out in one day. We still had plenty of time to look at the scenic spots but we covered ground when moving much faster than in the truck.

Other than that a lot trails blend together in my brain. I remember chicken corners becouse of all the rubber chickens. That was a fun area. You will have fun.

Maybe if i am down there at the same time i will find you guys for a beer or a short trail.

We will be there with some friends in the middle of October. If our dates line up it’d be great to meet up with you. Don’t know if I’ll be taking the 80 but if not I’ll have to run some of the easier trails. 😏
