Yes, it's several months away but I figured I'd throw the word out early to give anyone interested some time to plan.

I will be heading down to Moab for spring break to do some wheeling and camping. The tennative plan is driving down on the 10th, wheeling the 11th-13th and possibly the 14th, and returning on either the 14th or 15th. I'll be running hells revenge, the trifecta (poison spider, golden spike, gold bar rim), and seven-mile rim. The campsite will be out at Area BFE because it is free, away from the crowds, and has a nice night time view.

If anyone is interested in going along to add another vehicle to the group let me know

Have you been to Area BFE before?

I'd recommend camping in the state lands on the opposite side of the Highway.

Area BFE during warmer months is well known for sand fleas. I had wounds that itched for 2 weeks. Take 100% DEET if you can find it. Nothing else keeps them away. Wear long socks and pants that cover your shoes so they can't get your ankles.

I did Seven Mile Rim in October! Pretty trail and not difficult. Did Hell's Revenge too (though my Taco DCLB is too long for a couple optional obstacles). Also did Poison Spider Mesa June of 2016. That's a fun one! Would recommend doing that with someone else in case you need a spotter or get high centered on any of the waterfall rocks. Couple spots where you can very close to cliff edges too. Makes for pucker factor!

I didnt know area BFE had a sand flea issue. I camped in Area BFE last year for 4 days with no issues. We did have a tarp down all around the tent and made sure to not leave our shoes or anything out overnight. I think being in March it still gets cool enough (30 or lower) at night for them to be active yet

I did hells revenge and most of poison spider last year but have not done the other two trifecta legs or seven-mile rim so Im looking forward to checking those trails off my list along with hells gate and wipeout hill.

There will be two others in my rig and my parents will be renting a jeep from twisted like last year so at least there will be two rigs and several spotters. Hopefully, I can find another yota to go though

Really Bozeman to Moab is not that bad in the scope of epic big trips. I would love to see 406 do a trip down to SLC museum or maybe even San Rafael Swells. Great part f the country.

Bozeman to Moab can be done in 10-11 hours depending on your fuel economy and how often you stop to go pee.

With stops for gas, potty time, and time for my dog to pee I did it this year in 11.5 hours.

depends if you do the Kokopelli route to Moab also forgot to add if you go in May you can celebrate the life of Mike the Headless Chicken. On my bucket list to go to that festival.
