looks like fun, but I think I will be limited by 33s

I think the whole idea is that there is something for everyone. It is my hope that even those with 33's will be able to come, which is why Windrock gets my vote (if mine counts) that way we all can have something. Any way it goes i'm sure we'll have fun!!

I am with Jay on this one I am thinking Windrock at this point as well.... it seems to have the better amenities and more importantly it sounds like it offers something for everyone as far as the wheeling is concerned. I will also be rolling on 33's also open front and rear in my 40, so Pillguy you'll fit right in

Harlan doesnt exclude you on 33's just that much of the park is set up for more.

Josh ran Harlan with us on 33's and 2.5'' lift, Brian ran stock height 80 on AT's :D
Jared's stock FJC and Barry's rattly ole deisel on 32's.

Just sayin. I like the Idea of windrock, just didnt want someoene to miss another opportunity another day for harlan for feeling they could have no fun there.

Windrock looks good, and I like the idea of a joint club gathering for Harlan with ONSC one day. That way we can support 2 OHV parks and support another club.

Windrock/Coal Creek is very accessible for 33" A/T tires. Of the 25 or so marked trails available to 4WD Trucks, only 9 are marked Difficult or Extreme.

Regarding Windrock, check out the OTMT thread, I was on 33's and open F/R and went anywhere I wanted, and most trails have large tire routes as well.

yeah...
I did run Harlan on 33's and I was fine. Brian did some amazing things in his stock 80 on fairly slick 275's.... He "adjusted" the shape of his running boards on a trail but I dont think he cared. Harlan is not worth shy'ing away from. Its def the most fun ive had minus the brake MC that totally went out.

Jason are you going to be back in the saddle by then?

hahaha... just found this! This was taken on our Harlan Run last year
Thought i would share. Long story short... we were at the top of the mountain when it all out started to monsoon. On this trail to get down you had control for the first 30 yards then the remaining 100 were "HOLD ON FOR YOUR DEAR LIFE"
Jared go a shot of Brian coming out... This is the 80 he took thru Harlan

NO sir :( my knee stole my cruiser fund and still having gas tank/fuel delivery issues.
but half tempted to let S4cruiser tow the 55 there for some fun

I had a blast at windrock at OTMT and a lot was the folks we were there with. Great trails tool.
Way too much fun watching Carp's 60 chug along so well through the trails and plenty of challenge to be found. I was never board and still hope to one day see the video yournamehere took of me climbing #3.

but yes the stock family wagon didnt miss one single trail on the harlan ride

you would be limited but not to the degree of not worth going. Still lots to explore at either venue and golden mtn too (especially barring new additions)

Alrighty, from communicating with JP the cabin is reserved and all is good to go! We need to start getting pumped up about this, and get folks on board!! We are planning on having a blast!! Start planning according and letting us know if you are coming!!!

Did I miss the official dates?

Nope.... I will get the offical thread up at lunch time to day with dates, directions, etc.

stay tuned:beer::beer:

This sounds fun!
Bummed that we (ONSC) dropped the ball on Harlan this year - it is a fun place to ride!

Windrock sounds good to me!
