After months and months of waiting for parts that turned out to be wrong, returning them, ordering more parts and deciding they aren't going to work with my JDM truck, I have decided to do the H55 swap on my HZJ77 instead.
So what I have is a used A440F from Cruiserparts (full hydro from a '91-'92 80 series). Cruiserparts says these have been inspected and are guaranteed to be in working order. $825 + shipping.
I also have a torque converter from Back40 Imports with ~135k miles. $600 + shipping
