So I have .010 (.25mm) warpage on my 2f head, (61031) , 78 fj40. Trying to determine if I have enough meat on the head to have it resurfaced. Does anyone know the minimum thickness the head can be?

I think I have seen the number somewhere maybe the Haynes manual. Your machine shop should know if its machinable if they are worth their salt.

I found the spec in the manual for maximum allowed warpage, but I'm not sure if this head has ever been milled yet, so looking for the thinnest the head can be before replacing it.
Usually, a Machine Shop will stamp a coded message that only another Machinist can read if any major work was done on a big chunk of metal. Probably nothing if the head was just skimmed. There's a lot of meat to a LandCruiser head, have a talk with your machinist, maybe just do a light shave to bring it back to specs. You can deal with a little bump in compression, don't panic.

Check the depth of the locating dowels, check against another head, if it's been machined they will not be as deep

The triangular water jacket windows get all distorted when you go to far. Pig's right, theres lots of meat on em, I would dispute the .10 max but can't recall how deep we were when we noticed the windows changing shape.
