Some time ago there was some talk about hitting some trails and camping. Anyone working on anything?

I am very interested in this i know that there are several members that would be interested.

So, anyone else been thinking about this?

I know logistics is key here maybe between a few of us we can put something together...

Quick thoughts are between va and wva we string together some trails. Knowing we probably will see some pavement in between. Camping would be where ever we can/allowed

Those are the areas i'd like to check out. See if we can do those trails Tracey spoke of that we can only access from the WVA side. I made a map of them a while back in Arc-GIS, but I have since misplaced it.
I think that the trails are marked on the park maps.
If anyone is curious and has the time, you can download the data layer from the George Washington National Park website. The two formats available support Arc-GIS and GoogleEarth.
for anyone with a fancy GPS, you may be able to find a format usable by your device. I don't mind opening my compass, but sure as hell don't want to be found accidentally illegally wheeling and get fined.

should be all green trails. anything "difficult" may have a bypass.
A stock toyota 4x4 should be just fine.
I haven't run them though, only second hand info.

Only parts of it - must have fallen off along the trail.

That's my point , everyone has a different idea of what damage is. Bob has a much different view then most people so we won't count his truck.

Dents to the body. I am hoping to have sliders by then but everything else will be stock, including my 80% worn street tires. :whoops:

I would think your only concern would be the tires and that should not stop you from going. If you had plans to buy some nice new at tires it would be a nice to have them for the ride. It will probably be the most fun you have had with your truck.
