Which valves work best for changing over to the dual system from a single res mc? will the existing lines work with the new disc's up front (they look a little small to me)? Can I flare the new and old lines to make it be a clean install ? Should I use a domestic pu portional valve as i am using a domestic mc ? mostly a dd. Tnx, Myrle

I have more problems, it's a 69 fj40 and the mini parts donor is a 84, got it all together with new flex lines, the flex line mates to the hard line from the caliper but the line from the mc is a smaller fitting, drove 60 miles to a kalsipel, no luck with any parts store, only suggestion was to replace the hard line to the mc. ok i think this would be easier than running all over the state but on the way home i'm thinking what about the rear axel, I cannot run new lines to the rears drums without the same adapter fitting i need for the front. would someplace like industrial supply have something that i could use or has someone else had this problem? I think the fem end on the hose is 8mm and the hard line is smaller it will slide right in. passed up a mud bog contest just 4 miles away today thinking i would get this done. it took a hour nap to cool off. I hope someone out there can help me with some insight to this problem i have searched the tech files and none seem to address this. my plan is as follows:
75 vette nb mc- sae to 8mm hardline adapter to paportional valve from a pickup to these smaller metric fittings. thnx

With mine I used an early 1990's 1" master cylinder, with the valving/line splitters from a 1984 mini truck. No proportioning valve was necessary. Almost all toyota stuff is 10mm fittings, except for yours and a few others. Suposedly 9mm fitting were used all the way through 1969, but this is not strictly the case. Mine was made in Nov 1968 and has 10mm fittings all around. With my fj55, I took the hard lines from the front of a 1984 mini truck and bent them to fit. They were around the proper length and were a free alternative. That took care of the front lines. You can always try using your existing line for the rear brakes, plugging the lines at the t's. Instead of trusting a shoddy double flaring tool, you may be able to get some fittings or adapters from Orme Bros. Look them up online, they have a variety of metric fittings that are appropriate for brakes.

Thanks, I think after that explantion these are probally 9mm, I will give them a try. thx
