$12,500

I purchased this in hopes of doing a patina restoration but now I'm going another route. It's got a great body no rust and original paint (very hard to find) The dash was cut but not a deal breaker for most restorations. Has oldman emu suspension, a V8 with 3 speed auto and a Ford 9in rear. It's located at Proffitts Landcruisers in Colorado right now. Buyer responsible for shipping it wherever you want. Spring reversal and roll cage.

Includes original bench seat in great condition

For a FJ40 with a suspension and perfect body for the year, this is a great price.

It started and I was able to run it down the street and back. Really didn't hear anything or spend enough time to say what's needed other than a check by a mechanic. I wanted to change the shifter to a floor gear shift style to make it look better. Started right up every time I went to it, and shifted into and out of gear. Reverse and Drive. I would think for that price someone has a desire to keep the body and put something fresh in.

Are you 100% sure that is original paint? Hard to say but it looks like small cracks in the body work in the lower rear ds quarter above the tail light — could just be the pics…. or it could be a skim coat cracking — any overspray on soft parts? window gaskets? Engine parts?

I'm not but Jeremiah could give you an opinion, bench seats and a bumper included inside.

thnx, their shop is not too far from me (driving distance) but before any of that i’m really curious about the original paint…..

Even if not original I think with the body in that condition it's worth the price, but I understand to check anyways

You know lately I just don't see anything in this price range without significant rust issues.

If it were original, there would be holes where the front signals used to be. Those have been filled and painted. That being said I would say it looks like a very fair deal to me. Here's an example of a 69 that was pretty darn original but still not 100%
