I was looking for a thread for the current year and didn't see anything. I guess the injectors on the bus are keeping someone busy.

Here is a post from last year on camping location.
Both my family and Kelly's family are planning on being there.

Lat/Long and UTM of campground:
39°26'25.1"N 96°44'17.9"W
39.440291, -96.738306

Lat/Long and UTM of ORV Park:
39°24'35.3"N 96°44'20.3"W
39.409802, -96.738961

Attached is an aerial of the campground, zoomed out top left, zoomed in bottom right. Shows campground in relation to facilities. It's really not a bad campground, just definitely not SMORR.

Tuttle.....can't wait. I know Kelly made reservations for the camp spots.....how is this year going to work?

Yes, and I got a stack of safety orange cones to block off our corner if there is enough coming.

Kids, wife and I are all coming. Very excited.

Are most people going down Friday and camping Friday and Saturday nights?

I may be bringing my dad down to join us, and Rach and the baby will stay home for this one.

We should be down there with the whole fam Friday by 6.

We may be headed down early, as there is no school on Friday. May go there on Thursday night, weather dependent. @kc_chevota
you got a plan yet?

For those not arriving until later.... If you are in my area, drop off your tent and we will set up camp to reserve all the sites.

Looks like I'm available the 23rd and 24th if that's what days it is.

Sorry I forgot to post the date. Title corrected.

Yes most are heading out Friday as early as possible.

My plan is Thursday afternoon, provided I get the bus fixed. Turns out it wasn't the injector nozzles even though they tested bad.

Doesn't that kid of yours have to go to school Friday? We can leave right after school on Friday.

Shawnee Mission Schools are out on Thursday and Friday, so if there are folks headed out, we can leave in the late afternoon on Thursday.

@half k cruiser , the park is really pretty nice, the great thing is almost every trail has an easy part and hard part. And I hate to call them trails, they are more of areas. Nothing is marked well, but after a few days you start to know what direction to go home.

The ledges area is a 400' long area with mild to almost wild area to try and climb.

Family wise, I like this trip. The unknown at this point is the weather. Two years ago it was a low in the teens at night (thanks to Colin and Amanda, we brought a heating blanket and plugged it into the power outlets :). Last year, it was a low in the 60's probably. Awesome weather. We even set up a big screen and watched the Royals play.

A much smaller group than SMORR, but a great group. When we get closer to time, we can get a list of who is going and discuss group cooking. It worked really great to do kind of a organized potluck before.

I hope you make it.

As it turns out, I now have to work on the 24th. :(

I'm taking the whole family camping somewhere this weekend, possibly Fancy Creek so we can wheel a little at Tuttle. Has anybody ever camped at Kansas Rocks? There's not much info on their website other than "primitive camping is available".

I believe there is a campground at Lake Francis that they used to link to from the KS Rocks website.
