Does anybody use/used LTX AT/2, standard 265/65R17 on GX 470. How is snow performance? I have these tires on Landcruiser and am thinking about replacing GX tires (Bridgestone Dueler 684) - they still have life left, but with New Englanf winter coming - I am thinking about replacing them.
Never really a Michelin guy till we bought the 06 CPO which had a new set on it. Been really happy with them. Probably the best all around tires for the GX.
I've been running them on my '08 for four years now around New England, including weekly round trips from Boston to NYC. I've never had them be squirrelly in any kind of snow or slop. Even on some black ice in VT I had no problems, while the car behind me did a full 360. I think you'll be very pleased with how they handle the winters around here, and we've had some bad ones recently.
Been using them 2 years after OEM Duelers. Like them a LOT more everywhere and for every reason. Best all-season tire out there for the road-going GX I believe. They are NOT however a dedicated snow/ice tire - anything purpose-built for that will be better - they're just as good as a high-mileage all-season tire gets. Hope that helps!
I'm putting on a set today on my GX. It was either them or the new Michelin defender m/s but i like the a/t look better and performance should be about the same. You can't go wrong with Michelin in my opinion. I will provide an update later this week once i put a few miles on them.
