I have had several requests for more information on a campground in Mexico, so here it goes. . .
One of my favorite places in Baja is Guadalupe Canyon. This is a beautiful palm oasis situated atop a geothermal spring, just East of the central mountains (Sierra Juarez) about 25 miles South of the border.
Travel is over (good quality) paved roads except for the last 30 miles which consist of hard packed lake bed (when dry) or graded dirt road if the lake is muddy. Both roads join as you progress toward the canyon and deteriorate to a combination of sand and river rocks. Nothing technical; 4 wheel drive not required, but some ground clearance helps (stock 2 wheel drive pickup and SUVs are fine).
Each campsite has its own concrete and rock hot tub, palapa, firepit and running hot water (~120 degrees). Some deluxe sites have fireplaces and sinks built in to the palapa.

I personally find Arturo's camps my favorites, but Mario's have really been improving lately.
Peak season is November to May (summer is just too dang hot). I try to go down twice a year; usually in March/April and October to avoid the crowds.
I'll try to find some pictures when I get home tonight and post them up.
Feel free to ask questions, I would love to plan a Cruiser trip!
