I bought this really cool 1969 FJ40 a couple of years ago. All original. It turned out needing the rear tub re-done, so I bought all the sheet metal and am having @arthog do the work for me. He's an experienced welder and a cruiser head. That is expected to be completed by July/August, this summer. Terry says the sheet metal will have primer on it.

I have the title for it. It runs and drives just great. Did a carb rebuild. It's still 3 on the tree. The glass is all intact. It still has the original bench seats and rear jump seats. I did convert the bath oil filter over to the adapter for a more modern filter. It's got some roller tires on it at the moment. I've got the original hubcaps. Oh, and I have a working set of the rear hatch struts, that it comes with.

I was pretty excited when I got it and had big plans to upgrade the drive train, etc. As you can see from the list below I amassed a large quantity of parts to do the upgrade. The only things I still hadn't purchased were the brake booster/master and the later split circuit brake lines.

I would love to sell it all as a package deal. At the very least I would like to sell the 40 before I entertain selling off all the parts I've accumulated, so please do not ask me for parts piecemeal. Once the vehicle is sold I will repost whatever parts are left if they were not part of the sale. Parts prices listed include shipping I paid for.

It has taken Terry some time to work on it. I'm not blaming him, but I have lost my enthusiasm for it. As some of you know I am an avid scuba diver and I'd rather go diving than work on a project car.

If you want to see it, it is up at Terry's Black Hawk. I'm sure he wouldn't mind. I'll sell just the vehicle for $15k but would prefer to sell it all for a reasonable offer. If you are interested, please PM me.

Good point. Added a few more. You can see the front floorboards are good. The rear is what needed the work. The wing windows and door hardware all there and all work. It has all the original seat belts.

I remember this rig for sale a few years ago, the rear sill and quarter were rusted out. Otherwise, the original Red patina looked great. Good luck with your sell.

that is a great deal with all the associated parts and rust repair done, that's all the good stuff

Okay. No progress on the bodywork, but I am ready to move on from it. $10k for the cruiser and the sheet metal. I would separate, but I would prefer selling the 40 first and then will sell the parts. Cruiser is currently in Black Hawk, CO. No reasonable offer refused.
