Metra 70-8113 missing orange wire

what did everyone do for this? Is this for auto dimming?

I am hooking up a new pioneer double din. my old pioneer only had 1 orange and i hooked that up to red.

the new pioneer has orange and red i found some old posts with the same questions but no resolution

You need to tap the appropriate wire on the rig side of the wire harness and connect it to the dimmer input for your Pioneer HU. I don't remember the color coding of the OEM wire. Perhaps search my posts as I posted the info in a thread at some point.

Found the pinout. For me it was a green wire in position 2.
