I think I have pictures of mine that I have bolted on. need to gety home so I can find the pictures though.

Here's how I built mine. These aren't the pics I was looking for, but it's simular to my pther one. The main difference is, instead of the stinger being welded to the bumper on this truck, I have tabs on the stinger, with bolts going into the bumper. The radiator protector was welded to tabs that should bolt through some holes already on the side of the frame. But this is the idea.

Im gonna pick one of those up in the near future. You just cant beat what you get for the price of those. Very nice item from MT!
Im w/ you all though, it would HAVE to be removable!
I welded through bolts on everything going through the frame. Figure I would do the same for this application.

What Is the point of this..Metaltech is about 30 mins from me, and I was looking at those, I understand the stinger, but I don't see any benefit of the other part..

Wow, didn't mean to hijack the thread, was just showing...LOL!!!Thanks for the compliment guys. I've been at the build for 2 1/2 years (all by my lonesome), with a little help from the :princess: and my son on occasion, and had help from my club memebers.

Chicago, SouthFF4, the bumper is actually 2x4 .250 wall with the ends cut. It was a 48" long. ...'til I whittled on the ends.
The paint job is rattle can camo, tried for a tiger strpie, but missed drastically. The brackets that bolt to the frame is angle iron.

Hell Bent, I like how you done yours, that's cool.

I'm not good at linking, but if you go to the LSLC Austin Club house and look for "Lake Rat Introduces", you will see the truck in it's most recent state. It is close to being finished finally.

Protection of vital underhood parts. For example the radiator. This is for a rollover situation. I have a homebrew similar design on my FJ40 and have rolled it. The only damage was cosmetic, and I was able to wheel the rest of the day with no issues. Having that hoop without a doubt saved that wheeling trip for me and $ in repairs. Some like how they look as well. I guess it depends on how/where you wheel.

^^^^ what he said re. The hoop!
That, and it reinforces the whole front frame.
MT sells em for like 200 bucks for the kit. It's a great deal IMO.

I should of got the stinger too. I am liking the way ya'll did the whole bumper type deal. Cause I still have to do a bumper. I think I might be order the stinger part soon:doh:
I did get it for roll over protection but I really do not want to test it!
