Thank you R. for the oppurtunity to have this excelent vehicle, and

FYI R. aka Jsnow the PO is a solid dude and very helpfull in my buying process. thank you again!

The plan was to get a nice Jdm 80 from Lancruisers Direct but my beautiful, and PERSISTENT. girlfriend and my family kindly informed me they would not let me live in peace if i got a vehicle without airbags. Im not going to try to dicuss the finer points of airbag usage, i gave up. as i said, PERSISTENT. so i “grew up” and got a nice new car with 12 airbags. 12 freakin airbags theres one for your cofee mug so it doesnt spill (jk but you get it) anyway, defeated i started looking for a 200 series, and decided a 3/4 sized 200 would be perfect. so here I am.

Back to the impotant stuff.
I plan on using this rig as a DD as well as my overland/camp rig in the summer.

First thoughts? I love it, it is so much more comfortable that the Tacoma and refined, yes i realize this rig is 10 years newer and luxury but dannnnnngggg skeeter this thing has it all. wayyyyy better offroad than the 1 gen tacoma too, even without crawl control. Full time 4wd for the win! she goes any where i point her, couldnt be happier.

Update 6/18

Swung over to the North West Overland rally this last weekend, but first hit Adventure Ready in Seattle for a Alu Cab Shadow awning, absolutely love this thing, its a beast! I also attached a pelican box to the back bumper instead of jerry can holders, this is my camp kitchen, i made shelves for it but they are crappy, i will show those when i have a better version haha

Nice GX. Looks ready to go, and the FR and RR lockers are a huge box to check off.

Stock gearing?

yes sir! a agree with the lockers. stock gearing at the moment, not too bad with the v8, definetly felt it in my backside near the wallet area for the drive back though haha.

I read that you could regear the center diff on the 80 to change ratios. can i do this with the gx or does it have to be at the axel?

Bonus. You can melt the snow by turning on all the LED's too. Nice rig.

your not kidding! I think i will keep the bullbar leds, probably going to sell the 40” vision x to my coworker, its just too much. and a little unnecessary for my application. I dont plan on prerunning so ya. not a big fan of bars to begin with, i used to have a pair of light forces i miss those things

might use that wiring to do camplights on the rack

Congrats!!! I've seen this rig and even linked to pics of it many times. I believe I saw it on 405 last summer as well.

thank you! couldnt be happier with it so far. hope to see/meet some mudders and wheel/camp! Probably be at NW overland rally this year hopefully

Just out of curiosity where is the second battery located? I have a 2013 and have been struggling to find a spot for the 2nd battery. Good lookin rig!!!

Disregard, I see your post in the other thread.

Really clever placement, there is a ton of room behind this arb bumper, i would have never thought of that as a location
on my 02 tacoma arb bumper

pic of that battery location?

pic of that battery location?

in side the passenger side “wing” of the arb bumper

I can show you what it is behind, i can only see one tiny corner of the battery through the gab between arb and the trimmed stock bumper, I tried to get a pic the other day but you cant see the corner of the battery in the pic. I will be able to get a good picture of how its mounted, bracket ect when the boys and i drop the bumper to add the winch and NOCO charger
