sometimes those little search engines don't always work...just for the record my brother sent me the info on this one, I wasn't in the market anymore but this wasn't one I could turn down.

Okay so heres the story, brother sent me an email telling me about a unique cruiser. I called the guy with no response, he got back to me few weeks ago and I went to look at it and decided I needed it, cause everyone needs 4 cruisers.

Now the truck. It's a 1969 FJ40, it has a 4BD Isuzu Diesel in it with a 3 speed tranny and 3 speed case. the wiring is much to be desired but I have managed to get some things cleaned up and functioning. Took the top and doors off yesterday and took it out for a spin and much like the 55 its actually pretty smooth for only having a 3 speed GPS said I was doing 46 RPM's were at 1900 so not bad. Going to put some new tires on it, replace the front axle with the disc brake axle that came with it and then get to building it. Brakes aren't power and quite frankly a bit scary. Has full cage, and an aviator cockpit....still trying to figure out why anyone needs 19,000 toggle switches....Jason Traylor would your PO happen to know?

I have a slue of extra parts ranging from a mint hardtop to axle parts to new mirrors, to turn signals and what not. Hoping to get to working on it come early April. Hoping to be able to get it to the STR.

Thats all for now.

Oh forgot to mention it came from SHELBY, NC........:flipoff2:

Yes it did...right around the corner which made the deal even sweeter....

Guess that completes the collection for now...

Sweet man! Nice score...and unique like you said!

STR is going to be great with all of these new rigs.

Damn Greg, nice score! Now which one do you want to donate to the "Joe needs a 2nd Cruiser (or diesel mini)" program?

Oh Christ i've got to stop looking at these threads.

Nice score.

As for those toggles switches I was having fun following them yesterday. I cracked open those fuse blocks and there is 2 gauge housing wire running in and out of them......

you do know there are actually 7 days in the week, so I figure you need at least on more.

Greg - someone needs to stop you!! :flipoff2:

Looks good man...build that bad boy up...cause I'm not sure any of your other trucks are capable enough!

:D whew feeling better bout my collection every day :D

Nice score Greg, will be a fun one to watch progress. The isuzu turbo w/ IC was pretty cool in the 60 at Crawfords last summer. Did good in the hills for a big heavy wagon.
