I thought you were saying climbing the hill did that until your last post. I was like, "how did he squeeze through that spot and then dent his door on the hill?"

I think you might be able to pop that out if you pull the door panel.

Nice pics Phil! How far north in Cali are you?

Currently me and most of the club are located around SF bay area. We do rides anywhere you can think of. Next ride is out to sour grass at the end of this month, then Hollister in Nov.

Pm me if your interested

Yea that's the plan. Gives her a but of character though. This isn't a show truck by any means!

Thanks Phil. Yeah, about a week ago it looked like I was going to be working in East Bay, but we got some jobs here at home in San Diego. I would have been in my '00 4x4 Taco though...
I have a close cousin that just moved to San Bruno I think it is.

Looks like Ella is just about ready to wheel all the tough trails. Let me be the first to congratulate Phil on his engagement. Looks like Phil will be putting the big cruiser build on hold fora bit. Good thing he has good, capable friends that can help him out along the way.

Thanks Dima! It is nice to have good buddies you can trust. Speaking of which I will do my best to get your motor finished and let's put that heart back into your old girl. I expect you to be back wheeling with the club early spring. Hitting Rubicon next summer!

I cringed when I saw the angle of approach on that wedge obstacle...no way to come at it a bit straighter?

I came at it straight and rode high up on the left. What you can't see is the rock under my left rear tire. It had some angle to it. Was almost on top of it when I lost grip and slide off the side. Landed must hard enough to put a dent. I didn't think I had hit it til my spotter had that "oh s***" look on his face!

Thanks for the nice words about the truck guys!

Went out to the MTA Mud N Yer Eye event last weekend. Had a really good time. Got stuck a few times but that's the fun of it.

Yep been doing a lot of work on her. Finally got her back out.

Decided to go a different direction though. Put the girl up for sale. Not 100% on what the price should be though!

It has been a while since I posted on this thread. Still got the old girl and have made some changes to her. I will get some pics up here soon. Installed a new fuel injection system so no more dying on steep hills, installed a front locker, and just this last weekend I ripped out the entire interior including the dash.

Working with a buddy of mine to build a full cage inside as well as redo the floors and build a new dash. May have bit off more than I can chew, but she will come out looking good and I will come out broke and probably divorced!

Glad to see this site is still running strong and I wish they would fix the damn mobile app!! If they did let me know :)

Phil

I'm looking forwards to seeing the cage.

Did some preliminary measurements last night and it's looking like I'm going to need around 200ft of tubing. I have around 80ft sitting around. I was hoping to get some wheeling in this summer, but I think I just took her down for the next year.

If anyone has some tubing laying around they want to sell, please reach out to me.

Also, what have people done for front seats? I'm looking into PRP/Beard/Twisted Stitch/etc but if there are some OEM seats that have good side bolsters I'm all for that.
