Dan had a great idea to get together and have a  or two and kick some tires. We have decided to meet at the Taco Mac on Chastain Road in . The address is:
600 Chastain Rd
Suite 310
Kennesaw, GA 30144

I figure we can meet in the parking lot around 6:30 and kick tires or so until 7ish. Then we stroll inside for some food or drinks ot both. I hope a lot of you can make it out. We did these every month or so in SoCal and it was really cool getting to see everyone more often while checking out the rigs. Post up if you can make it so we can have an idea of how many to expect.

This is also a great time to post up those spare parts that you have up for sale and you might be able to swap them at the gathering.

Smitty,
Chastain is so very close to the house it is an interesting concept; however, doesn't the monthly chapter meeting accomplish the desire goals that you have outlined. Not being a member of the Ga chapter of the TLCA any longer, it is probably inappropriate for me to pipe in on this so ignore as necessary.

Good luck. You general location would be great, but O'Charley's has tremendously better and is also right on Chastain.

This is more informal beer thirty type stuff Larry. We need more social stuff outside of the offical meetings of we couldn't hope to get to be *drumroll* friends! :)

Dan,
I understand making friends and certainly am not thirty something. Installing the lift in your old 60 was the opportunity I had to get to meet and know you rather than a monthly meeting, so making opportunties outside chapter events are important. I have always found those opportunities to work together within the cruiser community were the best. Working through the night with Jack Uys to install the lift kit on his Tacoma and then completing emergency repairs on trail 4 at Tellico with Jack in preparation for the TMC were great opportunties to get to know and appreciate Jack for the man he is. Working with Gordon on some of the projects that pass through his driveway were always great opportunties for friendship and character building that I will always appreciate. Maybe after you and Smitty knock back some beers and kick some tires at Taco Mac then you will be working together on your projects.

Good luck and enjoy.

Thanks Larry, you know you are always welcome, work or play :)

Dan,
I will keep that in mind. Thanks

I also enjoy the moments that you speak of. Being new to this sport, I met some really great Cruiserheads in SoCal and they are responsible for turning me into a :banana: wrench when two years ago I had never changed my own oil! The ONLY people I miss from Cali (with very very few exceptions) are cruiser heads who made for awesome friends. Fact of the matter, I just moved across country, have a 6 month old and am starting a new career at the moment (read: no excess $). I don't have the time (or the wife's pass) for anything more than a couple of hours here or there to talk cruisers and meet some local cruiserheads. I have been looking forward to meeting Dan since we have chatted back and forth since before I moved out here. Wed. the 28th is really the only time between now and 2008 that we can make it happen so we are going to get together for an hour or two. I personally can't wait to meet more of you in the Southeast and would love to have as many as possible show up for some casual chat with cruisers and beer on the agenda.

If I can get over there, I am going to try. Not really all that close to me, but it's been a while since I've been able to chat about cruisers too...

What Heather said....seems like I have to travel the first week of every month and miss the Fudrucker meetings.

Looking forward to meeting those who can come out. I have to try to be there by 6:30 after leaving Avondale Estates around 5pm with my dog from the vet. Wish me luck. Maybe closer to 7 before I get there though.

If ya'll don't mind I may Crash your party .

Absolutely!!! I will be there with my boys at 6-6:30 as well in the Cado.
