It's been a really long time since I've seen a lot of the HDC crew. Plus there are several new folks that I don't think I've ever met. I thought we could get together for lunch somewhere on the east side of ABQ since so many of us work on that side of town. I'm thinking Rudy's on Carlisle/I40 at 11 on Friday, 8/22. I'm open to other suggestions for a location. Anybody interested?

I'll be there if work doesn't get in the way

I'm in and look forward to it.....

Maybe I'll drive the cruiser since it's been more than a month since she's been out of the garage.

If work allows

A month? Seriously? You're not worthy of owning the Hundy any longer. You've been demoted. You need to sell it and get a Kia Sportage.

I am in a market for 100 series..... just saying.........

YOU, mister, need to get that 80 into the beast that it needs to be before going all soft on us and getting a hundy......

It's not going no where, the work continues on it.... Just look for something to drive everyday while it's being worked and pull the boat with...

Well alright then, you're allowed to get Mark's hundy.

we will be out of town. I'll try for the next one. the 40 needs to get out.

Cut me some slack, dude. We've got 2 vehicles and only one driver. Danise hasn't driven in months because of some medical issues. I drive the car to work since it gets 2X the fuel economy. Then there was that 2 week vacation in July. I did actually drive it this past weekend to get a mattress at Costco. And the sliders got a serious workout back in June when I went to the Jemez with the NM4W crew.

You got me thinking Ali, so I am going to try and hold off on getting 100 unless I come across a smoking deal.... I value every ones opinions on here...... so tell me what I need to do to release the beast in it? \

I've got some other projects going on tomorrow, but I'm going to try and make it to lunch.

From Marc's original post, I assume we are still planning on Rudy's on Carlisle at 11:00? Hope to see everyone there!

Just found this thread, still pretty new to FJs, NM, and this forum. I live in Santa Fe and cannot make tomorrow's GTG but I will keep an eye on this thread. Any other SF cruisers out there?

I have not seen any other suggestions and Rudy's is an easy place to have an informal gathering with their picnic table seating setup. Plus you can get big piles of meat there. Showing up at 11 also saves time waiting in line since it gets pretty busy closer to noon.

The only guy that stays active with this group lives in Espanola, named Vince.

I would love to go but I am slammed with meetings at work.

Marc how are you liking that Lexus? I was thinking of getting a Lexus for driving to work, but something a bit sportier like an IS-F. I agree commuting in a 4X4 every day is a waste of gas, plus a sports sedan is so much more fun to drive on the pavement.
