Anybody running one? About how much do they cost?

I have a McNamara gear in my transfer case. Believe they have a US distributor. Otherwise I'm just jabbering.... ;)

Isn't that transfer case for sale for $9800?

Great Basin Rovers is one of their--or possibly their only(I can't remember)--U.S. distributor. They're located in Salt Lake City. I called and talked to a guy there a while back when I was still trying to figure out exactly which direction I wanted to go for lockers. IIRC, for the Land Cruiser, they were making the cable locker and the hypoid-vacuum locker. Only available for FF axle assemblies. I decided not to go for it for two reasons: A) pretty much nobody is runnin' 'em in an LC; and Second--price...they are like $1200 just for one locking diff. I still thought about it a bit as they sound killer, but I just couldn't bring myself to spend so much for something I--and most other LC folks that were around at the time--knew so little about. And the fact that I already had been checkin' 80 series e-locker prices and was finding sweet deals.

Anyway, cool ideas on their lockers, wish more info on them was out there. You could try going to a Rover forum and seein' if you can get some answers... Possibly find some info if you go post up on the Outer Limits 4x4 website. It's mainly Aussies on there so they might know more about it.

HTH.

I'm told that Great Basin (thanks for the link) is going to start stocking the transfer case gear as well. Ordering the gear directly from McNamara was a comedy for me, but the gear in place made it well worth the hassle.

Was that what you did a write-up on in Trails a few months back?
