Hey Guys,

Showing of my new MB Tex upholstery on the drivers seat. Next week, the upholsterer will finish up the passenger and rear seats. He did a pretty job, considering that fact that he did not charge me a penny:flipoff2:

If anyone is interested in this material, let me know. Its really good quality vinyl that you will see in brand new Mercedes Benz.

That looks great. Love to see some pricing...Especially in DIY form. Did your start as manual cloth seats?

thx

My great grandfather drove the old 240 D mercedes, and that interior smelled great... Pretty much bulletproof material, I bet...

Looks great. My driver's seat is a wreck and would love to get it done. My first thought was getting marathon covers but that only does the cover and not the fill. How much was this and where did you go to do it?

Yes, the reupholstered one is a manual seat. Although my car has the power/leather seat option, I wanted to use the manual seat for the drivers seat for the extra leg room.

Did you use a kit?
No kit, just custom upholstery. We're an importer of European upholstery materials (leather, vinyl, etc for BMW, Mercedes, etc...) We are also an auto upholstery supplier in the LA area so we have a ton of customers who offered to redo this at no cost:)

The material itself is a little more expensive than a standard auto vinyl the but quality reflects the price. We wholesale this for $43.00 per yard. We have other reproduction MB Tex vinyls but the quality is not as good as the OEM ones.

OK Im interested here, redoing my seats is becoming a priority here soon. What kind of yardage did the seat take? I'm familiar with MBTex, its really good stuff.
