where would somebody go to watch the fight ?

Do bars usually play it?

I want to watch it but have no clue where to watch it in the Raleigh area. I suppose I could order it but watching it by myself would not be as fun.

Any ideas?

Most bigger "sports" bars do and charge a cover

I'm just going to wait till the morning, avoid the internet, and watch it when it hits my brothers server.

I don't really think it will be a great fight.

I honestly can't see a way for mcgregor to win under boxing rules. It is Floyds to lose if he makes a big mistake.

The only question to me is, is Floyd going to be able to straight knock him out or is exhaustion going to be Connors downfall.

To me fights like this are only there as money makers. Taking a skilled mma fighter who has never boxed and putting them against a a boxer who has never lost would be aki. To putting the golden boy in an mma match against Fedor about 10 years ago.

Andrea just told me our apartment is broadcasting it in all of the common areas so I may watch tonight after all.

So what did you think?

The press made it look like Mayweather wasn't really training - taking it easy - was going to be old and tired. Results say he just waited out Mcgregor then pounced on him?

Sounds like Mcgregor was like a greyhound dog - - really fast for about a mile and then dead - just not used to the length of boxing?

Mcgregor ran out of steam. Those last 2 rounds he wasn't defending himself. He lacked power in his punches the entire fight. I think it should have been stopped when it did. Good call. A 30 year old Mayfield would have cleaned him up in 4 rounds.

Happened almost exactly like I thought it would. Money fought like has has his entire career he is a boxing genius. Connor did exactly how I thought he would... the only surprise I had was hits landed.... slightly higher than I thought it would be, and he showed some actual boxing skill. Big props to him to do that well in his first match.

Fairly exciting overall.

I will say that I thought it should have been decided by him actually hitting the canvas, he was going to go down anyway. In boxing it was a good stop but for an MMA fighter I can understand Connors point of view.

This was one of the easiest fight to find on YouTube making it worth the price of admission.

Isnt that the truth. Had no issues finding a live feed. Interestingly enough, the feed I watched was from Ireland. So it was interesting hearing the fight called from their point of view.

I came away with respect for both fighters, as fighters. I still have little respect for Mayweather as a "man" but that's for another thread...

I feel the same, good stop on boxing standards although a fight of this magnitude, one would expect to let them go to at least one knockdown, which looked evident. Well fought on both ends and Mayweather showed his experience and his camp's knowledge to fight his fight, predicting McGregor's flaws and won the fight. Even with all the talk, McGregor has to earn some respect from the boxing community, did things many said nobody could do to Mayweather.

Guilty of being a bootlegger, daughter set her phone up on a tripod to FaceTime her boyfriend out of town, he just had to endure my commentary during the fight...:censor::doh:

Jerry,
That's pretty much my assessment. Most folks don't like mayweather as a person. I am no fan of him either. But, as a boxer? In my opinion he is one of the all time greats. It was a hell of a fight and mayweather showed some pretty good offensive skills (experience). I say that because he is by far better known as one of the best defensive boxers ever.

Either way I think they gave the fans whT they wanted. Connor showed up and didn't do bad at all. Anybody that can go that many rounds with a professional hall of fame boxer has my respect.
