Hey Guys the May Trip is coming up! We are opening Crystal Mtn trail on May 26th, and Our new adopted trail Bald Mtn on the 27th. Yes that is Memorial Day weekend so we will be camping ( with-out the crowds ) Hopefully it will give some of you whose spouses or kids who don't usually come a chance to see what four wheeling is all about, or if they would prefer they can always hang out at camp. We will be meeting at JJ's Convienence Store Saturday the 26th at 9:00 A.M. It would be helpfull if you guys could let us know if you plan on going.

Anyway since I have your attention thought I'd mention that our May meeting is on Thursday the 31st at Pederson Toyota at 7:00 P.M. When we voted on Officers for the club in January we all agreed it was interum ( until after MOAB ) So PLEASE think about or post your nominations, as we will be voting at the May meeting.

Info on Bunce road ...I'm passing it on...you guys be careful of this...


Yeah well try understanding this. I just got this e-mail from the wife of the ATV RENTAL PLACE.

Jerry, Wanted to let you know so you can perhaps pass the word; Someone put nails and at least one upright screwdriver in the trail on Bunce School Rd. We got at least 5 flat tires. They imbedded them in such a way as to keep them upright and put them in rocks so they couldn't be driven around (per Jeff, I didn't see them). The May Allenspark Wind (the local, monthly paper) has a few articles and letters to the editor about Allenspark ATV Rentals. The letter to the editor by D. St. John listed several rumored complaints (no actual facts, all of which I can personally guarentee never happened) and then suggested "vigilante enforcement". Jeff Called the Forest service and they are having the Boulder County Sheriff investigate the nails and screws at Bunce. I suspect it is the same person who kicked in the door of our 1966 Mercedes 230 SL and made a huge crack in the side. Someone also stuffed something in the tailpipe of my car; no permanant damage although it took us a short while to figure out why it was spitting and chugging.
Anyway, I wanted riders to be warned before somebody gets a blown tire and gets seriously hurt.
