I don’t know much about these vehicles but it’s located in my town and find it cool as all get out! How reliable? and where would parts be found if I do have issues since it’s RHD diesel?

Although I’ve never owned a KZ Cruiser, it’s my understanding that the KZ is a good engine. Hopefully those with personal experience will chime into your thread.

Hello,

It looks like a late model (1994-1995) Prado, also known as Light Duty 71 Series.

It has manual transmission, which is a good thing on these trucks.

Check the VIN plate for the exact engine model. It may be either a 1KZ-T or a 1KZ-TE. The latter has an electronic fuel injection system. Search the forum for more information on the 1KZ-TE.

Apparently, there is a Check Engine light in the lower half of the tachometer. If so, then the engine is a 1KZ-TE.

Your truck has electric locking hubs. These are fragile, and in old age they stop functioning properly. You must check them. It is possible to repair them, but in the long term it is better to replace them with manual locking hubs.

Juan

EDIT: It is a reliable truck.
