Doubt I can make this one. My truck is still not back from Cruise Moab and now I need some engine repairs before doing any wheeling. Turns out that my "suspicion" that something was still wrong with the engine was correct. Now I get to pull the head and continue my search for what I f'd up 2 years ago. With any luck, it's a just a head gasket.

Barry, I will more than likely have an empty seat if you want to ride down.

URE May Ride Details

See attachement, I did not post so everyone can print out and keep with them for the ride.
I will have maps laminated for everyone to keep for the year similiar to that which Brian and Heather put together for the Spring Tide Ride.

Hope to see everyone there

I too will have a jeep buddy with me. I had already planned to be in URE this weekend anyway then the outing got planned so I wanted to take part in it. We are going up Friday afternoon and are camping at the Badin Lake Campround lower loop most likely sat night. we may move over to the group camp or may just stay at our other spot and just come over to hang out and drink a few. We will be wheelin with you though for sure.

Not sure what the plans are but, Garrett and I plan on meeting up with bacruiser at diggity's around 6:30am saturday and then heading out to the outpost. will most likely stay til 6:30 then head on back home.

We're in...if we can find a dog sitter!

Sorry for the late reply, but me the wife and two kids will be in for the Sat-Sun overnight. The kids are excited for a campot but I haven't decided what we will arrive in ('86-60 or the '97 Lexi-Cruiser), but we will be there!

Hey GoldenDad, welcome to the forum and nice first post! Why don't you bring both Cruisers?;)

Why don't you bring both Cruisers?;)

I agree, one driver, one kid. one driver one kid....seems like it'll work since you have 2 cruisers......

Also Welcome

Eric Plans are posted above in the attachment in post #44

Greg, I saw that and and thanks for the agenda, i plan on being at the outpost between 8:30-9am, didn't know what time anyone else was heading that way.

Here is a link to the safety inspection checklist that we will be running through on Saturday morning. Please download the PDF and review that you have/meet the required items. If you have any concerns prior to the ride feel free to send me a PM.

ONSC Safety and Equipment Checklist

Note that most of the safety requirements are basic state inspection requirements (making your truck legal to drive on the road...). Since this is the first ride to have an inspection, unless your truck has major violations, it will be allowed to participate and the failed items will be noted to be repaired for the next trip. As we discussed previously, if your truck does fail a ride inspection, you will have top priority for the next HAMOM. Remember that we don't want to exclude folks, but instead want to make the rides safe and fun for everyone. Plus there are usually plenty of trucks with open seats available, so you can always catch a ride with someone.

Believe me, I thought of it. Plenty of room and no need to set up a tent with two wagons. Then I thought...10-15mpg, X2...Soooo many miles...NOPE, just one! It'll be a surprise...

Well, depending on what I can get accomplished in the next couple evenings on the 4Runner, I may or may not make it. I've gotta get the 4Runner ready for a trip up to Rausch Creek 3 weeks from now and if I can't get a few issues fixed in the next couple days, I may have to stay home and try to fix them this weekend. If I don't see you guys Saturday morning, I hope everybody has a great time!

Leaving here in an hour or so. First long road trip for the cruiser in 6months, lets hope for the best. Bring your prob solving skills just in case but so far so good this morning.

See you guys up there. if someone ends up wanting to come tonight we will be at the lower loop of the badin lake campgrounds. site 32 i think. Just look for my Yellow 40

Sounds good Josh

****IMPORTANT INFO:

TOO ALL-I WILL BE PICKING UP DAY PASSES FOR EVERYONE TO RIDE ON SATURDAY AND HELP WITH TRAIL MAINTENANCE FROM JANET

This is part of the program they offer, we volunteer and they let us ride free for the day.

This means we may need to adjust times for this weekend, we will all need to check in with Janet and signup for the work weekend.

We will still be meeting at the outpost at the original intended time 8:30-9am****

Greg, do we need to bring any tools such as shovels, pickaxes, sledges, etc?

Sorry, no Janet has a shed with all the tools we need, we will be stopping in to see her and check in before hitting the trails as intended, it's likely to delay things a little but we'll make it work.

The wife and I have both been called on for work this weekend. I hate to back out of our first overnight event with ONSC, but that is the nature of the business...unfortunately. I hope to catch up you guys in the near future. HAVE FUN!
