Just got my 40 back a few hours ago from the trip out west. Not enough time to make this one....and if it's raining there too, you guys will be having some MUD fun!

I have seen a few sets of boards get trashed there.
What trail ate your runing board? Just sold my trooper, so my stock 100 w/ 285s may make a couple of trips to uwharrie. I was thinking that I could run most of the trails except rocky mtn (ledge and kodak) and Daniel (big ledge) without mashing running boards or ripping off a bumper.

Guys, hope everyone had a good time this weekend, we couldn't of faired better weather based on a predicted forecast. We had 17 trucks in all and I think everyone got a pretty good chance to see the trails in URE. The pics look great, it was nice for once to sit back and watch everyone and enjoy just tagging along. Thanks Brian and Jerry.
For a first timer Brian did a fantastic job covering Daniel. Not an easy feat for a open/open, mildly liffted truck, but Brian showed how it could be done, hopefully we have enlarged that comfort zone for him....I guess it he doesn't show up to the next meeting then we'll know we took him down the wrong trail on his first experience

I appreciate the friendly peer pressure for my first run. As I said before, left to my own decision, I probably wouldn't have done it. But I do feel like I know what my rig can do now, and that I didn't make a mistake by buying a rusty 1974 FJ40 from Winnipeg, Manitoba. This is probably not the best pic, and I do hope everyone sends me their pics of my first Daniel trip.
But, from the look on Greg's face, maybe it's he that is out of his comfort zone! Thanks again, Greg!

I think the Damage to the running boards on UZJ's 100 were done on Dickey Bell when he got out to look at something and his little girls jumped in the drivers seat and had a go a the trail....
I was wondering why my truck was moved and my girls were smiling ear to ear. ;>)
I was not attempting to spare the running boards. I have needed sliders since day one with the hundy. I plan to order them tomorrow morning.

Hey guys! It's José, (the guy with the black FJ Cruiser) and I just signed up. Thanks for a great time! I had a ton of fun. I'd definitely be down to go at it again. I went back on Sunday, and caught some of you guys as you were just leaving. I wish I'd gotten there sooner and possibly got some runs in with you guys, but no worries. It was great meeting all of you.
