May '62 Four Wheeler Review

Yodafrick stopped by with his toolkit and we were using this to compare the toolkit to the photo, one of his earlier scores from someone's attic..........................and then I realized what year the 40 was.

Thought the color combination was interesting. Black frame, pewter bumper, body color winch?

Also note the screws for the dash plate.

was 1964 the year they started painting the jumpseats, fronts seats, glove box and select dash bits pewter as well? ( maybe even gas tank ) ?

Below that year was was body color bits?

also there are two different rigs...notice the mirrors...one has a winch and one does not.

I think I have this somewhere. The first picture in the second post is a 61 not a 62. You will notice there is no license plate in the front bracket. The back seats are different in the 61.

destin the pintle hook on the early cruisers are different than jepps and the later pintle hooks. I seen them advertisd on Ebay saying there are off a land cruiser. May have come off a land cruiser but not the pintle hook from the factory.

The factory pintle hooks are probably very hard to come-by yeah?

I've seen the tire pressure plate in factory lit in the spot where those four screws are if that's what you are talking about.

Yep, that's it. Thought it was odd that it was missing on a brand new truck, probably didn't get installed. I saw the mirrors, didn't even catch that it was a different rig.
