Hey JP i believe we fixed that long list of repairs on my 40. The only thing to check out is that tickin noise, which I wanted to ask ya about. Did you turn the distributor that time I was out of gas. Cause I don't believe it was makin that noise before, and I think I remember you turning the distributor. Other wise we'll figure out what it was. Hey if you finish up on Rudy's piggy you can always run over to the house and start it up, the key is in the ignition. :flipoff2: And you could also check on the brake fluid and anything else that we've fixed

LoL Chuck we have more pressing issues with my t-case which doesnt like to turn the driveshafts there isnt time for checking brake fluid. We just spent a good while on our backs dropping the t-case off.

clunking things

Check that timing and dwell on a pinger/ticker. Match book cover can set point gap
and the motor mumbling should get timing close. Timing light and dwell meter are nice.
Those old rubber brake hoses can clog and s*** and cause brake sticking.
I've seen this on more than one vehicle.
That T/C is a stumper.
Best of luck over there.
Over here Lynn's doing great. Standing up. Yeeee Haaaa
See youse guys Saturday for lunch.

Good to hear Lynn is doing so well, tell her we wish her the best................... I bet you just make a lovely nurse too David :flipoff2: see you Sat.

Chuck, I didn't mess with your distributor, or if I did I forgot about it completely which is possible;)
I imagine me and rudy will be over at our place working on his big mess, but we could fix your timing rather quickly I imagine. So if you got some time come on over this afternoon, we will get if primed for it's first adventure tomorrow........

PRAISE THE CRUISER GODS..............the 55 is alive and running, after 8 months the 1 dollar pig off of Ebay took its first cruiser around the block!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats to Richard!!!!!!!!!!!! Welcome to the club.....:flipoff2:

Thanks to Gehn for all the help, and Chuck for moral support...................;)

The Clemson Mafia is ready to go :flipoff2:

JP

Yes I would not of believed it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, the one dollar paid off rudnicki. I'll bring my timin light over tomorrow to get it adjusted properly.

That one dollar multiplied substantially since then but its all been worth it. I still have the cheapest cruiser in the club though.

hpw was the meeting turnout etc? wanted to come but just couldnt make it today.

turnout

It was about the norm for typical meeting. About a dozen or so.
It was great to see friends again. My peppered turkey with ranch
dip was yummy. No new business. Alas, it's 30
year old trucks and they do breakdown. The kids arrived late but
were sporting grease . Fashion statement. They wheeled Mountain
Estates after the lunch.
Next up is April.
April 2nd is the first saturday unless anybody has a better idea.
Somebody suggest somewhere. How's that Esso club in Clemson?
Greenville has a Sonic or two and the weather is getting better
day by day.
Jimmy loved having us at Aunt Sue's.
The Sushi Wasabi pub in Easley was fine by me. My favorite.
This April meeting could be useful to any seeking GSMTR connections
for camping, cabins etc.
Remember GSMTR is May.
So. Any ideas? Location? Time? Do we need another poll?

I'm cool with the esso means my pig wont have to make it to far without breaking down. But I'll do my best to make it to any location.
