For Sale Many 100-series in Atlanta, anyone bought from here?

Hi all,

I'm in the mid-south, not overly close to Atlanta, and I have no affiliation with this dealer. But, they continually pop up on Craigslist and, from what I can tell, they specialize in used Toyotas. They always seem to have a few 100-series in stock at different price points. There prices seem middle of the road, if not low for the market. Has anyone dealt with them in the past? Is it worth making the drive over to check them out? I've contacted their sales team and gotten a few carfax reports from them, but they weren't overly helpful. Didn't seem to be native speakers, which made communication difficult. Link below.

As I'm tentatively in the market for a 100 series and have seen some of these vehicles on CL... I hope someone chimes in with any info about this crowd also!

Most likely just buying everyone they can find at auction and cleaning them up so resell them.

Acutally..just found this review on the good'ol interweb with a Google search:

This dealership will tell you a car is available, talk about selling it to you and use your interest/offer to sell it to someone else. I spent a Sunday discussing and asking to come see a Land Cruiser. I was supposed to see it the next day when they opened...but in between my inquiring and scheduled time to see it the following day...they told someone to buy a plane ticket to come see it. When I contacted them the next day to say I am on my way, they tell me that the person that contacted them after me is coming to get the car. I was coming to get the car and had contacted them first. Needless to say I was very upset, but I asked them to do the right thing and let me see it first and decide if I wanted it. They said no we have to wait on him since he bought a ticket. It should not have mattered ticket or no ticket...I had made arrangements to see it/purchase it before this customer and they should have told him that someone was coming to see it Monday and given me the chance to purchase or pass on it. I would not trust these guys!!!!!
Response from the ownera week ago
Hello, My dear friend, I understand that you are upset. But you should understand that we have many customers, and if somebody is coming to take a look on one of our trucks - we will not sell it to anyone else until he will come. Our customer came from California. It was long way for him. And I am sorry, but he was first. We told you that if he will not buy it - you are more than welcome to come and buy it. Sorry for such inconvenience.

Now that's not to say they are shady in anyway, it's a darn internet review. Could be anyone writing that review. I would say if the carfax is clean then go check it out if you find something you like!

I started a thread about them asking the same question. It got moved to Chit Chat

VIN by request? "Hello, my dear friend"

Nope.

The rust belt to south/west arbitrage that is going on sucks.

I just bought an '04 from Hilson Luxury Motors in Marietta and drove it back to Detroit. It was BETTER than advertised. I highly recommend checking in with them. They have relationships with Lexus and Toyota dealers throughout the south and get a crack at buying trade-ins before they go to auction. They seemed pretty knowledgeable about 100's too.

Yea stay away from these guys. They also go by Fuji Motors / X port International.

Every single thing they had was garbage. Flood damage, painted under carriage, painted seats, etc, etc. They apparently don't even consider price negotiations either so just don't even waste your time unless you are looking for a parts truck.

I went and looked at an LC from them a few weeks ago. Luckily I was able to pull the service records off of Toyota's owner site. Called the Toyota dealer that serviced it previously (as recent as a few months ago) and put them on speaker phone while I was there and got the run down on everything that the previous owner had declined. Long story short, it needed a new AC ($2k), Power steering rack ($?), timing belt and other things. Was not willing to negotiate at all and denied it needed any of those things despite a weird noise it would make when steering it. Guy tried to pass it off as a trim piece on the steering column but I had him steer back and forth with the hood open and you could still hear the noise which was located at the rack, lol. As mentioned, most are northern cars complete with some amount of rust. Glad I took my money elsewhere. Keep looking, there's better rigs out there.

Well done! Shame you ended up wasting a trip to look at one of their trucks but much thanks for sharing this info... definitely closes the door on my considering doing business with this crowd...

Was this the guy you talked to?

Haha. Whenever I had communications with the guy, he was always "really busy" and would send frame pics when he got a chance. Never happened
