so, do you clean the oil catch fibers thingy or do you need new replacement ones?

I'm not sure. I've never had to replace mine and it doesn't look bad after a few thousand miles. I don't usually open it up often but just drain it from the bottom every few months.

I've never read how often you have to replace filter, but I'm sure like with any other filter, it should be replaced every so often.
