making sure you get all your led dash bulbs in right the first time

Ok not rocket science but... LED bulbs have to go + to + / - to - or they will not light replaced my dash bulbs yesterday with blue leds (they look really cool BTW) knowing they had to be polarization (IS THAT A WORD?) correct... i replaced all the bulbs then..... with a 9v battery and some short leads taped to it I powered up the dash lights while face down on the bench simply by touching the leads to the far left bulb (above oil pressure gauge) contacts (the gold/copper that is exposed next to the bulb socket) the positive is toward the top of the cluster... they will all light if installed correctly if some don't light then remove and turn 180 degrees... beats installing the cluster only to find some won't light...

as a side note: I was surprised that they DID in fact dim with the dash dimmer switch... I got them off ebay each bulb has 3 leds on it... think they were $6 for 12 bulbs free shipping...
 
So I recently started replacing all my dash and component lights with LED's (including heat warmers, shifter etc) as many had burnt out. Due to the polarity I tested each as they were installed by turning the key to make sure they were in the correct orientation. I accidentally arc'd out one of them and I thought blew a fuse. For the life of me I (or my mechanic) can't find a burnt out fuse in any of the panels (2 kick panels and the engine fuse box). Can you suggest where I can look next. I know COMPLETELY dumb move but I'm hoping someone on here can help.

Probably help to identify what bulb isn't working and that you have confirmed it is the socket/wiring/fuse and not the bulb itself.
