I saw that in the previous post... I figured I'd put a link up in case anyone else was reading and looking for resources. I completely forgot that people don't ever use the search anymore...
This is exciting, keep us posted on the progress!
Mud is one of the few forums that has a great srarch function. Finding engine build threads on here is half the reason I had enough confidence to tear into my block.

I got rear ended yesterday and it will likely total my DD. Lights a fire under my ass to get this built. Will update when I start putting everything together!

Hope everyone is OK!

Maybe and maybe not. When I got my Clevite bearing sets they said made in Japan on the box. So potentially an OEM supplier ?

I doubt that many make them, could be from Taiho? But, from what I hear, it doesn't matter, if they don't come in the proper box, you aren't paying homage to the correct corporate structure, so inline to burn! This is the box that the new bearings we are installing came in. But the front cover, water pump, etc, came out of blue boxes, so still likely burning in hell! :hillbilly:

Now THAT is a thing of beauty!

Yep, maybe, has lots of pretty, colorful inspection dots all over it. For the price, not impressed, the cheap :censor: could at least include the dowel pins, or more than half ass paint! It's totally bare, have to strip another block for everything. With a good core, the same thing, plus a full balance job could be done for what, a quarter the price. It would have used parts, but as long as they are from a known solid core, I have no problem with used hard parts.

Holy smokes, at least my bearing boxes didn't need a team lift placard on them ?
