Made the jump up to a 200 series.

Ole crusty brought home a new girl friend last night.

I looked for a 200 series land cruiser with lower miles that wasn't $40k plus regardless of age, for months, but only found vehicles with 150k or more miles and prices 25k and up in a 3hr radius of where I live.

We picked up a one owner, meticulously maintained 2008 lx570 with 54k miles. It was traded in at the dealership where it was purchased new and serviced the whole time there. It will serve as the kid hauler for now...

After owning a 100 series for 13 years, I agree that the 200 visually appears way bigger,
but it's really very close to the same. It's just kinda "filled out."

If you ever take off interior panels on your 200, you find out that almost every bit of that space is literally "filled out" with stuff inside.
-Whether that's vents for the 21 (or is it 22?) vent system, or wiring, or whatever...there is very little wasted space under those layers.

I loved my 100, but would never swap back--all values being equal.

We "had" to run some errands up to Osage Beach today, from where I live it is about a 130 mile round trip. Its quite the back highway machine, the state of Missouri leaves a lot to be desired regarding any kind of highway maintenance and couldn't be more impressed. We sold our 2015 outback limited prior to buying this thing, and though not a bad car, with great mileage we just didn't care for it entirely.

Hopefully Tuesday she'll be wearing some 265/60r20 falken at3w's and the windows will be a shade or two darker.
