Adam and I just finished the MABDR-we were on the bikes, but it may be a cool trip for anyone wanting to drive on some backroads/off-road stuff all the way to the PA/NY line. We loved it, especially the VA parts. There are camping and hotel options along the way so a bit of variety. Butler makes maps and all the GPS coordinates are free to download.

I missed out on a chance to do this with a VA/PA group last year. They had a blast. I'll do it one day, hopefully when I have leisure time to get back up to DC.

Did you do the whole route?

I’m going to be doing 5.5 days on the MABDR in a couple of weeks and see how much of it we get to do. Actually it will be 3 days out and about 2 to make it back. We will be on our 80 pulling our AT trailer. Thanks for the link. Lots of useful information.
