Hi,
I have a 2000 landcruiser and want to know if it will be OK towing this trailer at 1500 lbs.? I live in a hilly area and am concerned with weight coming down hills....but it might not be an issue; please advise...

thanks, John

If trailer alone, you should be fine. But if towing the trailer plus 1500 lbs.. you'll likely want to fit trailer brakes.

With no trailer brakes, you dont want to pull more than 3000lbs. So at 1500lbs the M101 is no problem.

Our boat weighs 5000lbs and the 100 has no problems pulling or stopping it, you'll be fine.

Thanks. It will be mainly used to haul landscaping/construction stuff but certainly not in that 1500 payload range I would guess. We will use it for camping/canoeing as well.

thanks again!

Government Liquidation

Check the link. I'd be up to go check em out one day. for a 150$ and some clean up it would be a nice little trailer

I bought an M416 through Gov Liquidators about 7 years ago. Be aware that some can take a significant amount of work to get back in usable shape. The M101A1s are heavy trailers, empty.

Same here. I bought M416 from the Gov Liquidator 7 years ago and it took me countless hours to removed paints, sand blast to remove rust off and some welding to fixed up some holes.
The M416 served me well for all kinds of use, dumping, hauling, tent camper & you name it. Some time the M416 looks tiny, some time it looks big depending on my mood so it is a perfect size.

Cheers,

Good luck with your search, I also think they are cool trailers!

I found this one on a website sometime back and saved a couple of pics! I don't need one as we have a tent-trailer now, but if I got one, this is how I'd like it to be.

EDIT: I think this is an M105 not a 101.

offroadkid, I'm guilty also. I saved those pics as well for future reference. Whoever owns that one, is one lucky person. That is a clean looking trailer. Thanks!
