something has to be wrong with it
Nothing wrong I think. It is just a demo model with close to 3kmiles. It is a 3 row, so I am out. Even if a 3row would be fine with me, I do not think only $10k of a discount (in a 6 figure purchase) would justify buying a demo model that who knows how much was abused. Also, being a Mercedes dealer it would not even be a CPO. Maybe at under $100k would make sense IMO.

OK, I’ve had mine about a week now and I will say it’s better in many ways than the 200 series although I still appreciate the simplicity of the 100 and 200 comparatively. One thing I really have not come to terms with yet though is the seat bolsters are too high and too narrow as compared to the either of the other two vehicles. No matter how its adjusted the seat position always seems different and the bolsters make my butt cheek sore. This is kind of odd because it’s nothing I would’ve picked up on the test drive unless it was for at least 45 minutes to an hour. But now after driving it every day for a week I love nearly anything about it except for this one thing and it’s a real pain in the ass. And I’m not a big guy, 6’ 200 lbs. help.

I’m stuck between this or waiting for a low mileage 200 to show up. These are not selling well in my area, 119k msrp and down to 107k
If you want a low mileage 200, they are going for so much that, unless you are a die-hard 200 fan, I would argue you would be better off by going with a 700OT for $107k. Brand new, under warranty and 200-replacement-cachet is hard to beat.

Please keep posting your impressions. My plan so far is to replace my beloved 200HE with a 2row OT and would love to hear more. The last thing I want is to trade my HE (which I bought before Lexus launch the OT, so I had plans to be buried with it) and be underwhelmed by the OT. Does not look like as far as I heard, so I am hopeful. Have a deposit for a 2row here in Texas.

I agree.

i know. Lexus is letting me take one out for an extended test drive and will see how the kids like the rear seat. The fact the 2nd row can not slide back like the 200 concerns me. Also I’m not sure how Lexus treats warranties when you start tossing on mods. Either way I’m waiting for the 3 row delete ones to show up. If a gray 200 HE pops up then I’ll have to make a choice.

Oh, well. If you go the HE direction and don't mind a white one with around 45k on the clock, hit me up and PM in 4 or 5 months. 😅 Though it is hard to beat the trade-in tax credit we get here in TX.

Thoughts as compared to the 200 in no apparent order:

infotainment clearly better but the two screens are kind of lame.

Most of the controls are fairly easy to access but both the volume knob and on/off button are integrated into the top screen which is kind of awkward as opposed to the simplicity of the 200.

The seats are more comfortable in a way and then less in other ways. They are more form fitting if you are into that sort of thing and have more adjustability. The massage function seems more of a gimmick than anything.

Seating position is also different and it just seems you sit lower overall. I don't if it's because the seat is actually lower or maybe the dash higher? Either way I still advent found an ideal position. In the 200 I think I haven't moved my seat since I bought it. Never really thought about it.

You need a hitch pin with just the right length due to the lack of space on either side of the hitch. The pin they include is actually perfect but don't stray from that.

The steering wheel is nice enough but no handhold at the 6 o'clock is lame.

The window controls are in an awkward place on the far side of the door handle, you have to reach around to access the switches.

All the controls and switches seem very well put together.

The leather is nice but I can't say it's that much nicer than the 200.

Cup holders are too small and I can't even fit a Nalgene into the door pocket.

Wireless charger actually works.

Stereo is clearer.

It's quieter inside, significantly so.

The engine and transmission combo is just nothing as well sorted as the 200. the transition between hybrid and engine isn't as smooth as I would expect and the exhaust note every time it starts/stops is strange. More power, yes. Smoother, no.

No 40/20/40 rear split. I used to use this a lot for my kids to access the 3rd row, not possible now. strange place to skimp.

Of course the rear cargo space is abysmal. Far smaller than the 200 behind the 3rd row and where the 3rd row is folded there is quite a large space between the 2nd and 3rd row where stuff can fall into. This may not be as much an issue with the 2 row version.

Overall storage is better in the 200. Door pockets are larger, rear area of course. It also has much better aftermarket support to increase utility that I don't know if the 300 will ever have.

Ride quality is superb overall. Nothing like the adjustability and comfort of AHC. Having said that, I think the chatter that does come through is much more obvious than it is in the 200, maybe because the rest of the car is so tight? Not sure how to put my finger on it but on smooth rides the 200 seems smoother but on rough roads the 300 is clearly better.

I have already changed the spare due to a chunk of bone that somehow lodged into my tire. No issue there, as manageable as the 200.

No dual visors. No split gate.

For reference my 200 is a 2021 non heritage with 40k miles. In all I am quite torn and I think I should have trusted my instincts and held off. In fact if I would have known how uncomfortable the seats were for my body there is no way I would have bought it. The vehicle definitely seems to have lost some of what makes a LC a LC but it's still nice to have the 300 triple locked in the US. Honestly this makes me think of the 250 a bit differently.

The guys at RMR4x4 in Birmingham, AL had several new condition 2021 LC200's (<100 miles), and were asking $130,000 for them a year ago. For less money, I love the LX700h. But I'm a small guy (5'9", 180lbs), and the tighter seat fits me fine. I also miss the split tailgate and more rear room, but by Jove the LX700h is fast, comfortable, and quiet. And I think my overtrail is more capable Offroad than any stock vehicle other than a Raptor, Rubicon, or Bronco raptor. Hard to beat the entire package with any current other vehicle.
