I’m confused by that too. All LXs are now 60/40; (with exception of the ultralux)

That said my 100 is 60/40, so it’s not the end of the world.
I am glad I got 23 lx with middle section gap. One less incentive to not get gx vs lx. Still thinking if I need a second lx..

f sport and lux photos do show middle section to be separate...

If you look at the specifications, it now states 60/40 across the board.

@Eric Sarjeant let me know if you get the inside line on the parts diagrams!

Biggest challenge will probably the metal sub-floor on the 2-row, but I have some ideas to get around that.

So black emblems that we can finally purchase….possibly?

Just outside of Alliance, TX (Ft Worth) where they'll unload the train and send the vehicles for final delivery! Train looks on schedule to arrive tomorrow.

This is the type of train car the LX rides in:

It looks to me that if you get a 3 row you can potentially get a flat folding set up. Which will help if you want to sleep back there.

Alternatively we can pack a 100 or 200 almost to the roof with 10 days worth of supplies and guns and haul 3 people. Haven’t tried this in the 600 yet or 700 ot 3 rowI have coming in the next month.

As far as the LX Mark Levinson, absolutely no complaints. Compared to the Burmester in my Sclass AMG coupe (almost double the price) its not lagging much at all, somewhat better bass and they both really leave nothing lagging unless you are into competition Bass or some specialty stuff. The LX will leave you deaf, luckily the lawyers didn’t dictate on this item.

The hopes of a flat set-up in the back was what made me go in with my checkbook and trying to keep an open mind on the 3-row. That's the thing I really missed from my old 4Runner moving to the 80-series, as the way the LC (and Prado) seats seem to want to fold nowadays makes it impossible for me to stretch out when camping. But seeing that interior vertical room in the back of the 3-row OT was just really bad, and the actual measurements showed it's just not tall enough for what I need to carry.

I was rushed so didn't spend as much time as I meant to looking at the Mark Levinson sound system on the LX700h OT, so I'm trying to reserve final judgement until I get to try again with a 2-row. Or hopefully when more people get their hands on these they'll chime in with info. But what I heard in my quick test has me very worried about the ML on the LX700h, at least in the Overtrail. Based on the shortcomings of the GX ML, I tested by fading the system all the way to the back, and it still appeared that on the LX they also didn't bother to put any full-range speakers anywhere but in the very front. Sounded worse than a cellphone in the entire back rows. On the GX even with a normal placement of the fader results in terrible sound in the back, even more embarrassing if you have the rear hatch open. By comparison my LS sounds just as good for the rear passengers as the front, with a complete set of full-range speakers in all the way in the back.

While they cheaped out on the GX, I can't believe that the LX would be left with this problem for passengers, at least on the Luxury and Ultra, so I'm hoping I'm just wrong here and it's some issue with settings I didn't get to. Enough people have their hands on the GX that there are plenty of thread comments trashing the GX ML, and were already even by the time I got mine and heard the disappointment. But just doesn't seem to be a lot of info on the LX out there.

For my tastes it's not about whether the sound is deafening in a quiet car, but whether it can sound good, even at low levels. That's harder to do than just adding watts or sub woofers, but Lexus used to know how to do this. I'm guessing they now assume that everyone is listening to heavily compressed audio via streaming, and they can get away with releasing garbage. At least for the GX, that seems to be the case, and hoping I'm wrong about the LX.

Matching-theme plate to match my 250. Since they are both White / brown, we'll just keep the consistency family theme.

Out of curiosity what audio source were you using?

23 lx f sport. Sirius xm used. Shifted to rear and i think my sons corolla sounds better wtf

I haven't tried this yet, but I plan to test hi-quality lossless through Apple Music while plugged in with a cable.

I was underwhelmed with the ML in the GX, but at least it seems the LX has a proper sub.

Yeah wait a moment before making a judgement. To get true fold flat in a 600 for example you would lose some suspension flexibility because the driveshaft has to go somewhere.

As far as the sound system I routinely put it on Pandora streaming so maybe that is why I am not hearing what you are hearing. I listen to the Greatful Dead channel often and it sounds like you are sitting there live. I know my Sclass coupe sound system is better than my buddies Rolls Royce Wreath, and my LX isnt much behind the Sclass. I said it will blow your eardrums in the LX because the Mercedes limits max volume. Long story short the LX is pretty good by my standards.

Try putting it in 3D and adjust the bass up to like 75%, mid 50%, high 85%.

Audio is such a YMMV thing. Unfortunately I'm a entry level audiophile if such a thing even exists. I have a pair of KEF's and a sub in my home office, a full Sonos Arc/Atmos system in the living room, and some Sony XM4 headphones for travel or more private listening. The ML in the 550 sucks. The ML in the 460 was good, just could have used a bit more low end grunt. The JBL in the 200 is acceptable. I have heard ML is even better in the 570 and some of the Lexus sedans although I cannot really speak from experience.

In my opinon the 550 needs alot more on the low end and the overall sound stage needs improvment if you're sitting in the rear of the vehicle. Mids are muddy, highs are non existent unless you're in the front seats. Bass just flat out isn't there IMO. Seems like the reference system in the LX would be better but as we are finding out with the 550, things aren't exactly carrying over in a good way to these new models. Will be interested in hearing others thoughts as I am one who really enjoys a good sounding stereo in my vehicle along with everything else I listen to on a daily basis.

dang, you guys are really dropping $100K+ on a new SUV? holy smokes...
