This will be a just for fun thread tracking timelines for delivery and allocations on the upcoming LX700h. I have an Earth Overtrail that will be moving to production soon.

JUN2023: I have been pre-positioning with my dealer regarding the LX Overtrail since 2023 when I initially put in for the GXOT.
JUN2024: I reinforced this during pickup of the GX in June 2024.
OCT10: I formally requested to be added to the waitlist.
DEC9: 2025 LX production formally starts.
DEC23: My dealer reached out with the first LX7 OT allocation; estimates about 8 weeks for delivery based on when they receive allocations.
DEC30: Requested removal of port installed junk (Gulf States Distributor is bad about that).
JAN9, 2025: Review spec sheet with PIO removed and actual VIN number assigned.
JAN10: Returned signed spec to dealer. The dealer portal now shows the truck will make port approximately Feb15-20. Dealer estimates early March for it to land at their lot.
JAN11: GX Sold with 5,800 miles for 2k profit over MSRP.
*********
JAN15: Departed Toyohashi via the Sweet Pea Leader.
FEB1: Arrived Long Beach, CA.
FEB10: Processing at port.
FEB13: Departed by train.
FEB21: Train arrived Alliance, TX.
FEB23: Unloaded from train. Waiting on truck.
MAR1: Arrived to Dealer.
MAR6: Picked up from dealer
MAR8: First trails!
COMPLETE!

Care to list what was the PIO junk they were going to install? TIA
See below. My dealer was able to have all of this struck per my request:

Looks like there must have been a big push of info from Japan right around then, because I got notified about mine on December 24th.

Can I ask what the interior configuration and color are on yours? Mine is black and 3 row, neither of which I want. I'm already worried enough about interior cargo space because of the battery bump. And if I'm forced to go with Earth, which is really not my personal taste at all, I'd at least like to match it with a brown interior. I'm assuming that they're just making a bunch of Earth/Black/7-seat OT vehicles at the very first to satisfy what they assume the demand is. But don't see a lot of people talking about what they have coming yet, so only guessing. Just seems with the build up to the GX550 OT release there was so much more discussion and info out there, posting of allocation sheets, press test drives, etc. This feels really different.

If I had to guess I'd say it's because the GX is a high volume model for Lexus. The 550 was a clean sheet redesign from the previous 460 which was more of an evolution of the OG 470. With that redesign they also shifted their target demo so yes, the hype/advertising train was running full steam.

The LX is the flagship and low volume by nature. The average buyer who may stretch for a GX is not able to do so on the LX. The 700 OT is just a new powertrain option plus the addition of lockers on a model that debuted 3 years ago. I don't recall the LX600 debut drumming up a ton of noise either. You just don't really see brands make a big advertising push on their 6 figure + vehicles to the masses.

Mine is Earth with Black interior; 7 seater.

I wanted the 2 row variant, but the regional distributor stated Lexus wasn't going to build those until late 2025 or 2026. So instead I'm going to delete the third row (which is only four bolts) and I'll post up about my experience on it here. I haven't pinned down the part numbers yet for the 2 row cargo deck, but I'll worry about that once the truck has arrived. I would have liked the Stone Brown interior as well, but I'm okay with black.

I agree with @Specialeyes this will be a very low volume truck so I doubt there will be remotely the amount of fan fair as the GX. If I recall correctly, Lexus sold about 32,000 GX550s in 2024 and 6,000 LXs.

That timeline tracks. LX700h F-Sport has a build date of 1/14/25 and is expected to arrive at the dealer 2/19-3/20.

Nerd moment:

My truck is on the Sweet Pea Leader currently in route to Benica, CA. This is one of the newer LNG powered RORO marine vessels that Toyota uses.

Departed Toyohashi: JAN15
Expected Benica, CA: JAN30
Expected Long Beach, CA: FEB1 (this is where my truck will be unloaded and processed for rail shipment)

This is kind of neat (mildly). Poking around on TIS, I ran a vehicle inquiry and can see some of the activity at port; OTA updates were initialized yesterday:
