LX470 vs 100-Series Land Cruiser Frames Same or Different? (1 Viewer)

Are the frames the same or different between a TLC100 vs a LX470?

Besides the AHC components found standard on the LX470 and optional AHC on later model Toyota Land Cruisers, are the frames physically the same?

Can you mount Land Cruiser rock sliders on a LX470 (which has AHC deleted)? Or are the frames different?

I could’ve sworn the frames are identical as the chassis code UZJ100 would indicate but I’m getting conflicting info from a reputable source which I won’t mention.

Can someone confirm?

Same here. Got a shop telling my buddy that even with AHC out of the way their Toyota Land Cruiser sliders won’t fit in his LX470 because the frames are different.

I started to laugh when he told me but let’s see what everyone else says. Waiting for some answers!

Well, LC's were equipped with AHC all over the rest of the world. Did Toyota make different frames for AHC vs non AHC? Doubtful. I'm betting they are 100% identical.

I bet you someone took off the AHC globes and never bothered to take off the accumulators and other frame ornaments and then decided the frame doesn't match the LC

They look the same to me, I crawled underneath and everything looked identical.

Amongst the 100 series, the 105 (solid front axle) has a slightly different spec. But between the two 100 series IFS LX and LC on all year models, they are exactly the same. CMIIW.

This is not the correct interpretation of the parts catalog. There are many different frames. But as with regards to the question, I believe non-AHC sliders can work on AHC vehicles (sans AHC) or they can be made to work quite easily.
