My name is Rusty. I'm new to your forum(it's nice). I've been looking for an LX470 for months. Recently I've come across two of them BOTH with rust along the roof line above the windshield on the drivers side. Is this a common issue, with certain years...possibly? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanx in advance.

There have been a few people post issues here. A good windshield replacement shop will/should address any rust issues. You can search for windshield replacement threads and probably find a couple that mention some rust repair.
fwiw, I had the same issue (live a mile from the ocean, here on the west coast). I got the whole rig re-painted recently but when I dropped it off, I was dreading the call from the paint shop about that specific spot, on the driver's side where the roof meets the windshield. No shop would give me any guarantees about it until they "opened" up the thing and some said, potentially I am looking at welding and patching the entire roof, depending on extent of the rust invasion. Fortunately, the paint shop said it was very minor bubbling and didn't require anything extensive to fix the spot of rust and it hadn't spread to other parts of the roof. Phew!
