Anyone use the LX450 Navigationi System offroad? Is it worth it? And has anyone ever had it installed after the fact?

I am unaware of an OEM LX450 Navi. Do you mean LX470?

I, too, am unaware of any Nav option available on the 96-97 LX450. My brother-in-law has one on the 300.

I'll let you know, though, what I think of the Pioneer AVIC-N1, three days away from install....

I was gonna say....even if it did...OEM aftermarket would be $$$ compared to a third party with a custom mount, laptop mount, etc.

My 2001 UZJ-100 has that option. Off-road, it's almost next to useless: you can't input GPS coordinates on it; and you'll just have a big blank screen. You can mark a spot though, and have it point to that marked spot as a destination --then you'll know how far away it is and also which way is North .

Forgot to add: it has an "Emergency" feature, that can tell you your GPS coordinates, and the location of the nearest hospital, police, or Toyota dealer :D then map an on-road route to either one of them.

My LX 450 Nav system is a Garmin GPS V :D

The Nav sys was not available in 96 nor 97.
