Nice set, how much $? or do I even want to know?

i suppose i could do a write up? unless you were just being and ass i wasnt catching the sarcasm?
As for the price of new locks. Expect your wallet to forget what money looks like after you buy them. it hurts trust me.

Nope no sarcasm. Just figured if you took any pics or would be able to write it up while it's fresh in your mind that I'd ask.

ahh well i did the swap out a little while ago but i suppose i could do a write up

i was acctually a little shocked at how easy it was to replace all the locks.
with all the tools on hand and the locks there some one could easily swap out every lock in under an hour.

frighting really

I dont think those are LX keys, more to me looks like belongs to GS keys.It just different shape.I mean the black oval appearance.Beside if those are really LX keys.Im pretty much sure its not master keys.As far replace the keys yeah i've done that, and as matter fact i just replaced the door JDM door handles on my LX.(I got from CDan)but the igniton key and rear hatch that may you have think about it.

all those keys are lx450. as for the ignition switch all u have to do is put the key in to the ignition turn to accessory take a screw driver push a spring loaded pin on the bottom and pull out. the whole switch will come out. then to put the new one in its same steps reverse. as for the rear hatch its one screw then a metal clip u pull on and out pops the lock. however u also have to pop a little plastic clip to the side which is what joins the linkage to the lock. all really easy

Dunno dude...they look like standard LX keys to me...the shape is identical to my master key.
From the pic with the keys in hand, I see 3 masters and what's likely a valet underneath (difficult to tell based on the fact that the shape of the head is obscured).

I can't tell the difference.

But I'm curious - did you have to buy new locks because you couldn't get new keys, or were the old locks failing?

Thanks,

David

the old locks were perfectly fine however if you had read some post back a little while ago some one broke into my truck at my house and stole a copy of the key, the garage door opener along with everything not bolted down in my truck. so there was a rush to do something before they came back to frive her to canada. it was a stressful time. but as i said the old locks were perfectly fine

Good reason. Maybe someone outside geographical proximity of the thief will buy the old locks from you.
