working on this reminded me how the 80 series engine compartment mysteriously swallows stuff one may drop in there - it may fall out the bottom or it may not.
Nothing wrong with old master cylinder aside from having a dirty reservoir but it's a good hand-me-down for the '83 pu because it got rear disc brakes
still need to bleed systems & see if good match for the pickup

Hand-me-down master cylinder reservoir from the lx450 for the '83 pickup cleaned up good with some "SuperClean" cleaner/degreaser I got from wallyworld, then rinsed w water.
Did best to keep water out of aluminum body. Followed up with compressed air.
Did not have a rebuild kit for it but not leaking. Just need it to last long enough to see if this master is good match for disc/disc on the '83🤓

When you unscrew the top line that goes to the abs pump if one drop of fluid comes out of that line wouldn't that allow air in that line ? Once you bled the master cylinder and put the top line back on how do you go about making sure you get that air bubble out of the abs pump ? Is there a place to bleed out air in the abs pump ?
