Can anyone recommend a good source for replacement OE Headlight for LX470?

My right side Headlight bezel has accumulated visible internal moisture condensation, thanks to a bullseye caused by a rock hitting the bezel some time ago.

Stealer wants over $400 for a new Headlight assembly, salvage yards want around $250 plus shipping (plus chance of poor condition part from out-of-state salvage yard).

With those prices, I thought about instead maybe heating the Headlight in an oven to drive out the moisture, then sealing the bullseye hole somehow. (The clear packing tape I previously used worked great for months...until it came off and I didn't notice.)

TIA for any suggestions...

Maybe the Toyota diy website for a new one.

For repair, clean the 'bullseye' with lacquer thinner and then alcohol, put it in the oven at low temp, 150 or so for a while to get rid of remaining moisture, and seal it with clear silicone.

I'm not aware of a Lexus dealer that offers prices like Cdan does for Toyota parts, and the headlamp is definitely not common to Toyota.

Without removing the headlamp, try removing just the light bulb. Blow dry.. Then repair crack.

Or is the foil finish damaged? If so, no repair that I know of.

Just curious, who is Cdan? and does Cdan have a website you can see for pricing or do I simply email Cdan for what part I need and he will reply back with a price.

Thanks!

If you would, update us on cost of this lamp assembly. My driver side has a 1/8 inch hole and crack in the lens and had condensation bublbles all inside it as well. It keeps on working though but i desperately need more light to drive especially in rain.

My high beams arent bad but the lows are pitiful.

thanks:)

Same here, one head ligt has a hole.
But I think the lights are different over here as we drive on the other side of the road.
And high beam is HID.

I don't think you saw my post in my thread a few weeks ago. Can you take a photo of the housing and ballast if possible?

I don't think C-Dan or Beno will be able to help you as they work at a Toyota dealership. I believe Sewell Lexus offers a parts discount to Club Lexus members.

I remember seeing somewhere different part numbers for the lenses. I was going to buy them for mine but never got around to it and lost the sight. You can however purchase lens for corner lamps.

Given the high prices for the LX Headlight assembly from ANY source, I am leaning toward either (a) repairing it, or (b) ignoring it.

Even a used Headlight assembly goes for $100-$250, and those typically have broken mounting tabs (and who-knows-what-else damaged, to be found upon receipt of shipment).

Sorry mate, no I haven't seen it.
Will try and make a picture of the head lamp.
